# Widerøe vs Thon Hotels

The clearest difference is rating: Widerøe at 5.0 against Thon Hotels's 4.6. Widerøe also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). Thon Hotels's advantage is review sentiment (57% vs 40%) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Widerøe holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 11 and 22 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Widerøe's written reviews are positive against 57% of Thon Hotels's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Widerøe ships an update every 2 weeks, Thon Hotels monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
