# FieldNET vs Vence

The clearest difference is rating: Vence at 5.0 against FieldNET's 3.0. FieldNET's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (50 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Vence holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FieldNET has 50 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FieldNET ships an update fortnightly, Vence every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
