# TOR Browser vs R6Stats

The clearest difference is monetization model: R6Stats at free with in-app purchases against TOR Browser's subscription. R6Stats also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TOR Browser sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per 7 days and R6Stats sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TOR Browser holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 14K and 14K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of TOR Browser's written reviews are positive against 35% of R6Stats's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TOR Browser ships an update every 3 weeks, R6Stats weekly. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
