# Thermometer vs Thermometer Weather

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Thermometer at 49% against Thermometer Weather's 0%. Thermometer also leads on ratings volume (132 vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). Thermometer Weather's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 3.7) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Thermometer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Thermometer Weather sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Thermometer Weather holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Thermometer has 132 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 49% of Thermometer's written reviews are positive against 0% of Thermometer Weather's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Thermometer ships an update monthly, Thermometer Weather fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
