# DataCamp vs Madchem Classes

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Madchem Classes at none against DataCamp's 10. DataCamp's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 10 months) and ratings volume (4.8K vs 1). On price, rating and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DataCamp sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $35.00 per month. Madchem Classes asks for nothing beyond the download.

Madchem Classes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DataCamp has 4.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DataCamp ships an update fortnightly, Madchem Classes every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
