# DataCamp vs MySQL Quiz

DataCamp and MySQL Quiz both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of MySQL Quiz's written reviews are positive against 72% of DataCamp's. DataCamp's advantage is ratings volume (4.8K vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DataCamp sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $35.00 per month and MySQL Quiz sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MySQL Quiz holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DataCamp has 4.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 72% of DataCamp's written reviews are positive against 100% of MySQL Quiz's.

DataCamp ships an update fortnightly, MySQL Quiz every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
