# SWEPCO vs OutdoorEXP

The clearest difference is rating: SWEPCO at 3.0 against OutdoorEXP's 2.0. SWEPCO also leads on ratings volume (108 vs 7). OutdoorEXP's advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 16%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SWEPCO holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SWEPCO has 108 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 16% of SWEPCO's written reviews are positive against 33% of OutdoorEXP's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SWEPCO ships an update monthly, OutdoorEXP every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
