# SymCalc vs Maple Calculator

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Maple Calculator at 1.5K against SymCalc's 169. SymCalc's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SymCalc sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per year and Maple Calculator sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
