# ViewBack vs Covidence

The clearest difference is update cadence: Covidence at every 5 months against ViewBack's every 21 months. ViewBack's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ViewBack ships an update every 21 months, Covidence every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
