# MASC vs ORTTU

The clearest difference is ads: MASC at none against ORTTU's shown. MASC also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). ORTTU's advantage is ratings volume (1.6K vs 10) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for MASC against 4.9 for ORTTU. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ORTTU has 1.6K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 83% of MASC's written reviews are positive against 85% of ORTTU's.

MASC ships an update every 6 weeks, ORTTU every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
