# NativeScript Preview vs Steep

The clearest difference is update cadence: Steep at every 4 days against NativeScript Preview's every 3 weeks. NativeScript Preview's advantage is device support (4 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NativeScript Preview ships an update every 3 weeks, Steep every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on June 9, 2026 and September 12, 2026 respectively.
