# SMC Go vs Smart Digital ID

The clearest difference is rating: SMC Go at 4.1 against Smart Digital ID's 2.0. Smart Digital ID's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 67%) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 12 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SMC Go holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 18 and 24 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of SMC Go's written reviews are positive against 100% of Smart Digital ID's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SMC Go ships an update every 12 months, Smart Digital ID every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
