# Zen Flip Clock vs Beneath

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Beneath at 100% against Zen Flip Clock's 72%. Beneath also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). Zen Flip Clock's advantage is ratings volume (6.2K vs 2) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Zen Flip Clock sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Beneath sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Beneath holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Zen Flip Clock has 6.2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 72% of Zen Flip Clock's written reviews are positive against 100% of Beneath's.

Zen Flip Clock ships an update every 2 weeks, Beneath every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
