# Timber West vs Janken Samurai

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Janken Samurai at none against Timber West's 6. Janken Samurai also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.3). Timber West's advantage is review sentiment (88% vs 57%) and ratings volume (96 vs 15). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timber West sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Janken Samurai asks for nothing beyond the download.

Janken Samurai holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Timber West has 96 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of Timber West's written reviews are positive against 57% of Janken Samurai's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
