# Storage Genie vs Access Self Storage

The clearest difference is rating: Storage Genie at 4.7 against Access Self Storage's 3.4. Storage Genie also leads on ratings volume (3.6K vs 5). Access Self Storage's advantage is review sentiment (47% vs 23%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Storage Genie holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Storage Genie has 3.6K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of Storage Genie's written reviews are positive against 47% of Access Self Storage's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Storage Genie ships an update every 4 weeks, Access Self Storage every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
