# Folio vs Virtual Card

The clearest difference is ads: Virtual Card at none against Folio's shown. Virtual Card also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Folio's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 4 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Folio ships an update every 8 days, Virtual Card every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
