# Brushout vs Repit

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Repit at none against Brushout's 3. Repit also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Brushout's advantage is ratings volume (4.8K vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brushout sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Repit asks for nothing beyond the download.

Repit holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brushout has 4.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Brushout ships an update every 2 weeks, Repit every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
