# Wing Tel vs Scentify

The clearest difference is rating: Wing Tel at 3.4 against Scentify's 2.9. Wing Tel also leads on ratings volume (261 vs 27) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). Scentify's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Wing Tel holds the better App Store score, 3.4 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wing Tel has 261 ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Wing Tel's written reviews are positive against 47% of Scentify's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wing Tel ships an update every 2 months, Scentify every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
