# Yerba Mate vs gorjana

The clearest difference is ads: gorjana at none against Yerba Mate's shown. gorjana also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (2.7K vs 54). Yerba Mate's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 87%) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

gorjana holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: gorjana has 2.7K ratings behind it against 54, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Yerba Mate's written reviews are positive against 87% of gorjana's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Yerba Mate ships an update every 6 weeks, gorjana weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
