# SnapCalc vs Homework Helper

The clearest difference is rating: SnapCalc at 4.2 against Homework Helper's 3.7. SnapCalc also leads on ratings volume (41K vs 100). Homework Helper's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SnapCalc sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Homework Helper sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SnapCalc holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SnapCalc has 41K ratings behind it against 100, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 25% and 25% positive.

SnapCalc ships an update monthly, Homework Helper every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
