# Square Off Chess vs Chessify

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Square Off Chess at 3K against Chessify's 398. Square Off Chess also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.0). Chessify's advantage is review sentiment (46% vs 35%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Square Off Chess sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Chessify sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Square Off Chess against 4.4 for Chessify.
