# SS Writer vs Tackboard

The clearest difference is update cadence: Tackboard at every 2 weeks against SS Writer's every 3 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SS Writer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Tackboard sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
