# SAVY® Driver vs Tinker DIY

The clearest difference is rating: Tinker DIY at 4.7 against SAVY® Driver's 3.5. Tinker DIY also leads on ratings volume (2K vs 42). SAVY® Driver's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and review sentiment (56% vs 45%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Tinker DIY holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tinker DIY has 2K ratings behind it against 42, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of SAVY® Driver's written reviews are positive against 45% of Tinker DIY's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SAVY® Driver ships an update monthly, Tinker DIY every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
