# VeroSMS vs Spam Text Blocker

The clearest difference is rating: Spam Text Blocker at 4.4 against VeroSMS's 3.6. VeroSMS's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VeroSMS sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Spam Text Blocker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Spam Text Blocker holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 311 and 137 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of VeroSMS's written reviews are positive against 50% of Spam Text Blocker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VeroSMS ships an update every 3 weeks, Spam Text Blocker every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
