# Freedom vs The Cloud Room

The clearest difference is rating: The Cloud Room at 5.0 against Freedom's 4.5. The Cloud Room also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 6). Freedom's advantage is ratings volume (6K vs 4) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Freedom sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. The Cloud Room asks for nothing beyond the download.

The Cloud Room holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Freedom has 6K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Freedom ships an update every 2 weeks, The Cloud Room every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
