# Freedom vs Zenze

The clearest difference is monetization model: Zenze at freemium against Freedom's subscription. Freedom's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (6.1K vs 31). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Freedom sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Zenze sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Freedom holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Freedom has 6.1K ratings behind it against 31, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Freedom's written reviews are positive against 69% of Zenze's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Freedom ships an update every 2 weeks, Zenze fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
