# Freedom vs Screen Time Limit App Blocker

The clearest difference is monetization model: Screen Time Limit App Blocker at freemium against Freedom's subscription. Screen Time Limit App Blocker also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.4). Freedom's advantage is ratings volume (6.1K vs 7) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Freedom sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Screen Time Limit App Blocker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Screen Time Limit App Blocker holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Freedom has 6.1K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Freedom ships an update every 2 weeks, Screen Time Limit App Blocker monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
