# Freedom vs Focus Block

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Freedom at 64% against Focus Block's 0%. Freedom also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (6K vs 1). Focus Block's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.4) and monetization model (freemium vs subscription). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Freedom sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Focus Block sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Focus Block holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Freedom has 6K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Freedom's written reviews are positive against 0% of Focus Block's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
