# Freedom vs GreenSeek

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: GreenSeek at none against Freedom's 6. Freedom's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (5.9K vs 8). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Freedom sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. GreenSeek asks for nothing beyond the download.

Freedom holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Freedom has 5.9K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Freedom's written reviews are positive against 67% of GreenSeek's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Freedom ships an update every 2 weeks, GreenSeek every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
