# Freedom vs Nudge

The clearest difference is rating: Nudge at 5.0 against Freedom's 4.5. Nudge also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription). Freedom's advantage is ratings volume (6.1K vs 1) and chart position (#196 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Freedom sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Nudge sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nudge holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Freedom has 6.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
