# Freedom vs FlexCue

The clearest difference is rating: FlexCue at 5.0 against Freedom's 4.4. FlexCue also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks). Freedom's advantage is ratings volume (5.9K vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Freedom sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and FlexCue sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FlexCue holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Freedom has 5.9K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Freedom ships an update every 2 weeks, FlexCue every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
