# Timely vs TimeCalc

The clearest difference is rating: TimeCalc at 4.5 against Timely's 2.0. TimeCalc also leads on ratings volume (91 vs 3). Timely's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TimeCalc sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Timely asks for nothing beyond the download.

TimeCalc holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TimeCalc has 91 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of Timely's written reviews are positive against 79% of TimeCalc's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Timely ships an update monthly, TimeCalc every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
