# PotSmoking.com vs Frass

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: PotSmoking.com at none against Frass's 2. PotSmoking.com also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (53% vs 33%). Frass's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Frass sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. PotSmoking.com asks for nothing beyond the download.

Frass holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PotSmoking.com has 44 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of PotSmoking.com's written reviews are positive against 33% of Frass's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PotSmoking.com ships an update every 3 months, Frass every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
