# Chime Candy vs BrainDeck

The clearest difference is rating: BrainDeck at 4.7 against Chime Candy's 4.1. BrainDeck also leads on ratings volume (244 vs 13). Chime Candy's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and review sentiment (80% vs 70%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BrainDeck sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Chime Candy asks for nothing beyond the download.

BrainDeck holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BrainDeck has 244 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Chime Candy's written reviews are positive against 70% of BrainDeck's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Chime Candy ships an update every 3 days, BrainDeck every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
