# Chime Candy vs AI Language Practice

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Chime Candy at none against AI Language Practice's 42. Chime Candy also leads on review sentiment (80% vs 66%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.5). AI Language Practice's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (233 vs 13). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Language Practice sells 42 in-app purchases, starting at $14.00 per month. Chime Candy asks for nothing beyond the download.

AI Language Practice holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Language Practice has 233 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Chime Candy's written reviews are positive against 66% of AI Language Practice's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Chime Candy ships an update every 3 days, AI Language Practice every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
