# Chime Candy vs Homework Helper

The clearest difference is rating: Homework Helper at 4.6 against Chime Candy's 4.1. Homework Helper also leads on ratings volume (79 vs 13). Chime Candy's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and review sentiment (80% vs 50%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Homework Helper sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 7 days. Chime Candy asks for nothing beyond the download.

Homework Helper holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Homework Helper has 79 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Chime Candy's written reviews are positive against 50% of Homework Helper's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
