# Hipster. vs Parler

The clearest difference is rating: Hipster. at 4.9 against Parler's 3.9. Hipster. also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ads (none vs shown). Parler's advantage is review sentiment (44% vs 25%) and ratings volume (175 vs 13). On price, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Parler sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Hipster. asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hipster. holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Parler has 175 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Hipster.'s written reviews are positive against 44% of Parler's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
