# SharkClean vs Maytag

SharkClean and Maytag both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 49% of SharkClean's written reviews are positive against 30% of Maytag's. SharkClean also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (501K vs 46K). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for SharkClean against 4.7 for Maytag. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SharkClean has 501K ratings behind it against 46K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 49% of SharkClean's written reviews are positive against 30% of Maytag's.

SharkClean ships an update fortnightly, Maytag every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
