# SharkClean vs Kwikset

The clearest difference is update cadence: SharkClean at fortnightly against Kwikset's every 3 months. SharkClean also leads on ratings volume (503K vs 60K) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for SharkClean against 4.8 for Kwikset. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SharkClean has 503K ratings behind it against 60K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 49% of SharkClean's written reviews are positive against 48% of Kwikset's.

SharkClean ships an update fortnightly, Kwikset every 3 months. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
