# Small Talk vs BeClever

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Small Talk at 467 against BeClever's 3. BeClever's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Small Talk sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and BeClever sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BeClever holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Small Talk has 467 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Small Talk ships an update every 4 months, BeClever monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
