# Math Kids vs Mathara

The clearest difference is rating: Mathara at 5.0 against Math Kids's 4.5. Math Kids's advantage is ratings volume (10K vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Mathara holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Math Kids has 10K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Math Kids ships an update fortnightly, Mathara every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
