# PUB Reader vs reMarkable mobile

The clearest difference is price: reMarkable mobile at Free against PUB Reader's $14.99. reMarkable mobile also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months) and review sentiment (27% vs 7%). PUB Reader's advantage is rating (3.9 vs 2.8) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.0). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

reMarkable mobile is free to download; PUB Reader costs $14.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PUB Reader holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: reMarkable mobile has 517 ratings behind it against 48, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 7% of PUB Reader's written reviews are positive against 27% of reMarkable mobile's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
