# START vs EcoJet

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: EcoJet at none against START's 1. START's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (194 vs 7). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. START sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $7.99 per month. EcoJet asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.8 for START against 3.9 for EcoJet. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: START has 194 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 35% of START's written reviews are positive against 42% of EcoJet's.

START ships an update fortnightly, EcoJet every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
