# SimpleSpiderM vs Spider

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SimpleSpiderM at none against Spider's 5. Spider's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 12 months) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.6). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spider sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. SimpleSpiderM asks for nothing beyond the download.

SimpleSpiderM ships an update every 12 months, Spider every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
