# Help Annie vs Gleam

The clearest difference is rating: Help Annie at 4.4 against Gleam's 4.0. Help Annie also leads on ratings volume (344 vs 5) and iOS requirement (12.2 vs 15.0). Gleam's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 67%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Help Annie sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Gleam sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Help Annie holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Help Annie has 344 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Help Annie's written reviews are positive against 80% of Gleam's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Help Annie ships an update every 6 weeks, Gleam every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
