# HomeID (Kitchen+) vs Alideda

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Alideda at none against HomeID (Kitchen+)'s 2. Alideda also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). HomeID (Kitchen+)'s advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 5 months) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HomeID (Kitchen+) sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Alideda asks for nothing beyond the download.

HomeID (Kitchen+) holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HomeID (Kitchen+) has 2.3K ratings behind it against 64, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of HomeID (Kitchen+)'s written reviews are positive against 50% of Alideda's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HomeID (Kitchen+) ships an update monthly, Alideda every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
