# MasterClass vs NEAM

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: NEAM at none against MasterClass's 6. NEAM also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). MasterClass's advantage is ratings volume (123K vs 1) and chart position (#28 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MasterClass sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $119.99 per year. NEAM asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for MasterClass against 5.0 for NEAM. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MasterClass has 123K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MasterClass ships an update every 3 weeks, NEAM every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
