# MasterClass vs WISC

The clearest difference is price: MasterClass at Free against WISC's $9.99. MasterClass also leads on rating (4.9 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (123K vs 2). WISC's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 29%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

MasterClass is free to download; WISC costs $9.99 up front. MasterClass sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $119.99 per year and WISC sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MasterClass holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MasterClass has 123K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of MasterClass's written reviews are positive against 50% of WISC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MasterClass ships an update every 3 weeks, WISC every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
