# Certo AntiSpy vs iShield

The clearest difference is update cadence: iShield at every 2 weeks against Certo AntiSpy's every 7 months. iShield also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 84%). Certo AntiSpy's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and ratings volume (960 vs 10). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Certo AntiSpy sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and iShield sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Certo AntiSpy against 4.6 for iShield. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Certo AntiSpy has 960 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 84% of Certo AntiSpy's written reviews are positive against 100% of iShield's.

Certo AntiSpy ships an update every 7 months, iShield every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
