# Mecha Cavalry vs the puppet

The clearest difference is ads: Mecha Cavalry at none against the puppet's shown. Mecha Cavalry also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15). the puppet's advantage is update cadence (daily vs every 27 months) and ratings volume (20 vs 1). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.0 for Mecha Cavalry against 4.0 for the puppet. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: the puppet has 20 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Mecha Cavalry ships an update every 27 months, the puppet daily. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
